About
We partner with survivors and families on their journey from crisis to healing to empowerment, fostering lasting connections that strengthen the entire community.
Our Mission
Kerengende Foundation’s mission is to prevent child sexual abuse and human trafficking and to support youth survivors and their families with responsive services. Through supportive programming and community education, we aim to decrease the number of youth impacted by sexual trauma and provide safe spaces for survivors and their families to recover.
Our History
Amber Clayborne founded the Kerengende Foundation in 2019 in response to the sexual abuse experienced by her daughter in 2012. She was determined to ensure that no family faces this crisis alone. Initially providing financial support for therapy to families, Kerengende quickly expanded to include prevention, education, advocacy, and case management services. Today, we empower thousands of youth, families, community members, and organizations with the knowledge and resources to prevent and heal from child sexual abuse and human trafficking.
