1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthday and the perpetrators walk amoOver 95% of child sexual abuse happens at the hands of someone the child knows and trusts, who they have a relationship with, so working or volunteering for a youth-serving organization is the best way for sexual abusers to gain repeated access to children, allowing them to cultivate those relationships. So youth-serving organization leaders must meet this threat with a thorough understanding of the problem and implementation of prevention best practices. This training will teach parents to effectively assess an organization\u2019s ability to minimize the risk of sexual abuse within their program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
